HydroHoist Expands Manufacturing Capabilities To Produce Essential Medical Material Handling Equipment

HydroHoist Boat Lifts, a leading manufacturer of marine equipment, announced today its subsidiary RotoMoldUSA has been contracted by Ongweoweh Corporation, of Ithaca, New York to produce critical medical material handling equipment. RotoMoldUSA will expand the focus of its rotational molding facilities to manufacture U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved plastic pallets for shipping medical supplies nationwide, while still manufacturing boat lift tanks to keep up with continued demand. These pallets are re-useable, due to the smooth surface which lessens the transmission of bacteria and viruses, are non-porous and easy to sanitize.

“In this time of great need, many companies within the boating industry have the power to help,” said Mick Webber, CEO, HydroHoist, LLC. “Our facilities can easily produce large quantities of products that are necessary in the fight against the spread of Coronavirus. While we are very proud of the quality and innovative design of our boat lifts, we are even more proud to be part of the effort to help the greater good.”

FAQs

What is rotational molding used for?

Rotational molding is used to create durable hollow plastic products, including boat lift tanks, pallets, containers, and other material handling equipment. The process is valued for producing strong, consistent parts that can handle demanding use.

Why are plastic pallets useful for medical supply transport?

Plastic pallets are non-porous, reusable, and easier to sanitize than many traditional materials. This makes them useful for shipping environments where cleanliness and durability matter.

How does HydroHoist manufacturing connect to boat lift quality?

HydroHoist’s experience with rotational molding supports the production of reliable boat lift components, including air tanks. Strong manufacturing processes help improve consistency, durability, and long-term product performance.

What industries can benefit from molded plastic material handling equipment?

Industries such as marine, medical, logistics, food handling, and manufacturing can benefit from molded plastic products. These products are often used when equipment needs to be lightweight, washable, reusable, and resistant to moisture.
