How UltraLift® Shallow Water works

  • Extended tank geometry distributes buoyancy efficiently at low depths.

  • Low-profile frame sits lower in the water while keeping steel components above the waterline.

  • Hydro-pneumatic operation (120V) quickly displaces water to raise the boat and vents air to gently lower it.

  • Even lift distribution supports a wide range of hull types with adjustable bunks for precise fit.

Where it excels

  • Shallow Coves – Premium protection when depth is limited near shore.

  • Fluctuating Water Levels – Operates consistently through seasonal drawdowns.

  • Receding Shorelines – Keeps your hull suspended when water drops.

  • Canals & Narrow Waterways – Low profile and adaptable layout options.

Models & Fit Guidance

Typical capacity range: 5,000–9,000 lbs

Minimum operating depth: as little as ~22″ of water plus your boat’s draft (site-specific; your dealer will confirm).

Ideal boat types: fishing boats, smaller pontoons/tritoons, runabouts, and many shallow-draft craft up to ~26'.

Dock compatibility: floating docks, many fixed docks, narrow canals (site-specific brackets and layouts available).

Not sure which configuration you need? Your local HydroHoist dealer will measure draft, slip, and water profile to recommend the right tank and bunk setup.

Compare Your Options

UltraLift® vs. “standard” shallow-water options

  • Works in less water thanks to extended-tank buoyancy

  • Corrodes less with above-water steel (fewer in-water metal parts)

  • Fewer surprises with dealer-calibrated bunks and balanced lift geometry

  • Lower ownership effort through durable tanks and minimal maintenance

FAQs UltraLift® Shallow Water

What’s the minimum water depth?

In many installs, as little as ~22 inches of water plus your boat’s draft. Depths vary by hull, slip, and site—your dealer will verify onsite.

How is this different from a standard UltraLift?

It uses extended, low-profile tanks that generate the needed buoyancy in less water, while retaining the above-water steel design and push-button operation.

Will it work with floating docks?

Yes. It pairs excellently with floating docks in shallow areas and moves with water-level changes.

Which boats are a good fit?

Fishing boats, many pontoons/tritoons, and smaller runabouts in the 5,000–9,000 lb range. Your dealer will size for capacity, hull support, and slip width.

How does it perform in storms or rough water?

The extended tanks create a wider footprint for stability, and the lift keeps the hull elevated during rough conditions. In exposed sites, dealers can add guides and accessories for extra control.

Is it right for salt or brackish water?

UltraLift® Shallow Water is primarily for freshwater. For marine environments, ask about HarborHoist® (aluminum structure, marine-grade hardware).
